Program Description

The MSc in Marketing program focuses on the business environment and human behavior affect and influence marketing endeavors – whether ad campaigns, digital promotions, or academic research. The program’s courses build upon one another, approaching marketing from different vantage points – promotion, analytics, and digital marketing to name just a few. While one course may look into a multinational corporation’s traditional advertising campaign, the next might investigate how influencers use social media to attract target groups. As the culmination of the program, students apply the theoretical know-how and quantitative skills which they have acquired to a thesis project, guided by an academic supervisor from the marketing field.


Students should graduate from the program ready and prepared to analyze, coordinate, and lead effective marketing practices, as well as understand the procedures and analytics required to produce impactful marketing decisions.

How Long Will it Take?

Students learn to explore the ways humans use media and technology to express themselves, as well as how communications technologies affect individuals and groups. Soon after beginning the program, students learn to interpret media messages, communicate effectively in a range of diverse contexts, demonstrate creative problem solving, and exhibit professional knowledge and skills making them a valuable asset to professional markets. Students take a set of required courses in media theory, history, writing and production, and then select a 12-hour concentration in public relations, film studies, or upper-level media communications.
